The Simmers Club; Just Past a Year! Part II (cont. from front page)
The final staff member I interviewed was Ashley951. Ashley recently became a contest manager and is doing a fantastic job as one! Ashley joined TSC after seeing on of the advertisements for it on ts2 BBS. "I remember when I first saw it. "The Simmers Club Now over 100 members" The only thing I could think was "wow" I was thinking how fun a site that might be, because of all the members that joined there. I considered joining it but at the time I had not joined any fansites, I spent my time on the BBS. So eventually I joined in the 300 members update thread. It was the first Sims fansite I joined. I've came here just about everyday after that, and I really can't hink of any better people to talk to then everyone here!" Said Ashley. Kind words from a kind contest manager.
So what did Ashley first think of the site? "I remember reading the posts and it seemed like everyone knew each other so much and we were all friends, it seemed like a really nice place, and I was right!" Yes, yes she was right. In fact, Ashley felt so sure she was right, she made a couple really cool videos for The Simmers Club that I enjoy so much I am sharing them here.

Those videos really sum up TSC and Ashley did a wonderful job making them! What more could have inspired her to make those videos? "The people here, everyone is so friendly and kind, plus we all just have so much fun! Like I mentioned earlier, I can't think of anyone better to talk to then everyone here!". "I love my position here [as a contest moderator] I've always liked contests and thinking them up is very fun! I daydream about ideas for contests sometimes. Yes I guess that's weird." Is it weird? Or just a sign of Ashley's dedication to the Simmers Club? "I just want to say, I love TSC, it's just a great place to chat with nice people, and just have fun! We have fun everyday here!" She said it perfectly.
Besides the staff, I also interviewed two of TSC members, Malakia, who's username is now Christine Daae, and Nohj. Christine Daae is the member of the month this month! With the dedication she has for the site that's no surprise! "I first decided to join the Simmers Club, when I saw one of CJ’s and other members of the simmers club posts on the bbs. So I decided to check it out, when I first looked at the community is wasn’t too large yet, just a small cosy community....When I first advertised my story, I got nothing but positive review. Unlike other forums I advertised in where my story got downrated and no one told me what was wrong with. However it wasn’t until recently that I became really active, but back then I still managed to post every once and again during the holidays when I wasn’t busy. Since I got such nice and kind when commenting on my sim stories, clothing and more stuff. It encouraged me to create more and thanks to everyone here I have achieved greater and greater creations." She told me.
When asked how she felt being nominated as member of the month, Christine replied with, " This is the first time I became member of the month, so I was really excited when I came home and saw what had happened. And I’m still so very thankful to be elected member of the month. It is a real honour to be selected among many wonderful members." Malakia currently enjoes making clothing and uploading it to the Simmers Club Exchange and writing stories. You can see her uploads at TSC Exchange.
And last but most certainly not least, I interviewed Nohj. Nohj joined because " I had started my own forum (which is currently off the web), and CJ was one of my first members. He sent me a message asking if he could advertise his site (TSC) in his siggy. I went to see said site, liked it, and decided to join." Nohj's first impressions of the site were "That it was very well done and full of friendly people." Nohj had nothing but nice things to say about TSC. "I like watching the site grow and change, with new members coming, bringing with them their own personalities and influences.... TSC is an amazing place that is full of amazing people! The forum is a fun place to post, and there are some *spectacular* downloads on the TSCExhange!"
Much thanks to all of the staff and members that took the time to answer my questions! If I had asked every one of the 2000 members at The Simmers Club, you'd be reading nice comments until you reach your death bed. The Simmers Club is such a nice, caring community. If you aren't yet a member, I really don't know what you think you're doing here as you should be registering at The Simmers Club!
